I founded DeeCeeTen.Com for the simple reason I could not find a T-shirt displaying the identity of my favourite airliners...the VC-10 and L1011 of course! The period between the late 1940's and the early 1970's witnessed unprecedented development of civil air tranpsort with most of the immediate post-war industrialised nations having several large airframe and/or engine manufacturers. The new "jet" airliners which emerged from the drawing boards and manufacturing plants of de Havilland, Convair, Boeing, Lockheed, Douglas, Vickers and countless other manufacturers, epitomised an era of concept, innovation, design and glamour in air transport which is now long lost in the current civil aviation world dominated by a mere handful of manufacturers and mass air travel. The manufacturers of this period graced their protoypes with simple and elegant paint schemes and often gave their aircraft wonderfully evocative names.....Skylark, Trident, Tristar or created aircraft family numbers which have now entered the common english language such as 707 and DC10. In addition the airlines of this period also often gave their aircraft types bespoke names such as Coronado, Whisperliner, Luxuryjet, all adding to what was then the unique experience of air travel I want my T-shirts to capture and display, in a very simple but elegant way, these soon to be forgotten aircraft identities. Our designs can be placed on any type of T-shirt you wish (classic, vest, V-neck etc) and also on sweat shirts, caps, shorts and even handkerchiefs and socks! Our range covers all colours and all sizes for men, women and children. I hope you see a design you like, but if not, contact me and I can quote you bespoke Mark Cowell
